Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Progressive Care Unit. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:5. Experience with cardiac telemetry and neuro stepdown is required. Responsibilities include the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. The nurse will also provide pre and post cardiac catheterization care. Additional duties include managing patients with sepsis, renal failure, and other complex medical conditions. Nurses will be required to float between departments and units as needed. Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of 8 shifts every six weeks. Charge RN assignments may be needed during shifts. The role includes the ability to perform emergency responses and cardiac monitoring. Required skills include IV therapy, phlebotomy, and feeding tube management. Preferred experience includes sheath removal and central line care. Virtual nursing and emergency response technology may be used in this role. Compliance with specific training and laboratory requirements is essential.
