Real Estate Associate

Salary Range: $205,000 to $220,000 per year The Opportunity You are invited to join the cornerstone real estate practice of a consistently ranked Am Law Global 100 firm. Working in the Denver office, you will be part of an elite, globally recognized team of over 700 real estate attorneys. In this role, you will apply your skills to the full cycle of complex real estate deals and provide a holistic approach for top-tier clients. You will collaborate daily with industry leaders, representing property developers, lenders, investment managers, private equity funds, REITs, and sovereign wealth funds. This is a unique platform to accelerate your career, allowing you to take true ownership over your work in a fast-paced and highly rewarding environment. You will be expected to meet a 2,000-hour annual billable target to qualify for bonuses. To support your broader professional development, the firm credits up to 100 hours of pro bono work and 75 hours of DEI and community initiatives toward this goal. What You Will Do Manage and execute commercial real estate transactions, including major acquisitions and dispositions. Navigate complex real estate finance matters, property development deals, and leasing agreements. Structure and negotiate joint ventures for large scale commercial, residential, and recreational properties. Provide comprehensive legal counsel on structured equity, structured debt, and hybrid deal structures. Work closely with senior partners and a skilled hospitality legal team to pioneer major industry developments. Recent Highlights/Projects Advising high-profile international developers and private owners on multi-million dollar property acquisitions. Guiding private equity funds and REITs through complex joint venture structuring and asset management. Representing lenders and investment managers in structured debt financing for commercial portfolios. What You Bring (Must-Haves) 1 to 3 years of direct legal experience handling commercial real estate transactions. An active license in good standing with the Colorado Bar. A strong academic background supported by superior drafting, writing, and analytical skills. High attention to detail and the initiative to manage significant project responsibilities independently.
