Estimator

Location: Long Island, NY We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a well-established commercial specialty contractor with a strong portfolio of complex public and private projects throughout the New York market. Responsibilities Lead estimating and preconstruction efforts from initial bid through award. Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare estimates for drywall, framing, carpentry, acoustical ceilings, and related interior scopes. Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing. Develop competitive bids, budgets, value engineering options, and scope packages. Work closely with project management and leadership throughout preconstruction and project handoff. Maintain relationships with general contractors, vendors, and industry partners. Qualifications Strong estimating experience within commercial construction. Experience with drywall, framing, ceilings, carpentry, or related interior trades strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
