About The Role Novant Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to coordinate and assist healthcare providers in delivering safe, quality, and cost-effective care to our diverse patient population. What You'll Be Doing Coordinate and assist providers in delivering healthcare services. Assist providers during exams and procedures. Take vital signs and obtain medical histories. Assist with patient form requests (e.g., FMLA or other needed forms). Prepare patients and exam rooms for treatment. Ensure safe, quality, and cost-effective care for patients. Foster a safe patient environment driven by the principles of "First Do No Harm." Engage in teamwork and community involvement to enhance patient care. What We're Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Medical Assistant Program: Graduate from an accredited program including pharmacology and medication administration. Certification: Current certification as CMA, RMA, or CCMA, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Experience: Previous work in a medical office is preferred but not required. Skills: Ability to successfully complete skills validation and competency testing. Language: Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Licensure/Certification: Current state driver's license required.
