Senior Tax Associate

• Take ownership of tax engagements from planning through completion
• Interact closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services
• Oversee preparation and timely filing of required tax returns
• Review workpapers, trial balances, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Own assigned client engagements and drive projects to timely completion
• Work on real estate-focused tax matters, including partnership allocations, multi-state filings, consolidated trial balances, and related compliance issues
• Research tax issues and identify opportunities supporting client objectives and planning strategies
• Gather information from clients, answer questions, and provide responsive service
• Respond to review comments, resolve technical issues, and incorporate feedback
• Review junior staff work and provide coaching, guidance, and feedback
• Collaborate with offshore preparation teams and review simpler returns
• Leverage tax technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service
• Work with Managers, Directors, and Partners to deliver tax solutions and support client growth initiatives
• Gain exposure to engagement review, staff development, and increasing leadership responsibilities

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting 3-5 years of public accounting tax experience Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, corporations, and individuals Strong understanding of flow-through entities and closely held businesses Experience reviewing workpapers and responding to review notes Ability to manage multiple engagements successfully Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and CPA firm operations Experience working directly with clients and building trusted relationships Comfort working with tax technology, automation tools, and evolving AI-enabled solutions Ability to collaborate effectively with both onshore and offshore teams Strong written and verbal communication skills CPA or EA designation (preferred) Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in tax planning, compliance, and consulting, with a strong focus on real estate tax matters and partnership allocations.
