Job Description

The Installation Technician mounts and installs components from a bill of materials onto service trucks in a production environment. This role involves mechanical and electrical assembly, frequent use of hand and power tools, and strict adherence to work instructions and quality standards. The technician performs repetitive tasks with precision, using measuring devices and basic tools to ensure accurate and consistent installations.

Responsibilities

• Mount all parts and components from the bill of materials onto service trucks according to established specifications and standards.
• Read and follow detailed work instructions to complete installation and assembly tasks accurately and consistently.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform mechanical and electrical assembly work.
• Measure and mark components using tape measures and other measuring devices to ensure proper placement and fit.
• Perform repetitive installation and assembly tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.
• Inspect completed work to verify that all components are installed correctly and meet quality requirements.
• Apply mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor fitment or alignment issues during assembly.
• Follow production schedules and workflows to meet daily output and productivity expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of tools and materials.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while working in a non-climate controlled production facility.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience using hand tools and power tools in an installation, manufacturing, or assembly environment.
• Ability to follow written work instructions accurately and consistently.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure precise and high-quality installations.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks.
• Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures to ensure correct dimensions and placement.
• Comfort working in a production environment performing repetitive tasks.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical assembly concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings or blueprints related to assembly and installation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle upfitting, fabrication, or similar installation work.
• Expereince in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or electrical assembly.
• Familiarity with using both hand and power tools for fabrication and installation tasks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-climate controlled vehicle upfitting facility, where temperatures can be hot or cold depending on the outdoor climate. The position follows a Monday–Thursday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will work in a production setting around tools, equipment, and vehicles, performing hands-on installation and assembly tasks throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haslet, TX.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Haslet,TX.
