Principal Reliability Engineer

Principal Reliability Engineer responsibilities: Ensure performance of production equipment by minimizing failures and downtime. Support Facilities Production, Utilities, and HVAC teams by evaluating plant equipment reliability and assessing alternative options. Lead reliability improvements such as Failure Modes, Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to proactively support planned and predictive replacement. Implement site reliability policies; ensure planned routines are correctly specified and critical spares are available for maintenance execution. Troubleshoot sophisticated plant equipment and associated system issues; identify and recommend corrective actions. Analyze equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends. Lead engineering root cause analysis and implement long-term engineering solutions to prevent reoccurrence; manage key metrics (Run Hours, Mean Time Between Failure (MBTF), Cost to repair). Conduct internal audits and periodic reviews of GMP activities to ensure compliance. “This Role Might Be For You If You” (qualifications/skills): Have hands‑on experience with production equipment and how it operates. Can interpret PIDs, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications for maintenance and repairs. Experience writing and executing test plans and technical evaluations for change control documentation. Enjoy cross‑functional work. Requirements: BS/BA in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical).
