Duties

• Coordinate and dispatch freight loads efficiently using transportation management systems
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, shippers, and clients through proactive communication and exceptional customer service.
• Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms to optimize freight pricing and carrier utilization.
• Manage transportation sales efforts by lead generation, inside sales activities, and developing new business opportunities within the supply chain sector.
• Oversee dispatching operations, including data entry, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
• Plan transportation routes considering logistics constraints, transportation planning best practices, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), or logistics sales roles such as freight or logistics sales.
• Strong knowledge of B2B sales processes, account management, negotiation skills, and contract management.
• Familiarity with transportation planning, carrier sales, freight brokerage operations, and dispatching procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for inside sales activities, lead generation efforts, and customer relationship management.
• Ability to analyze logistics data to optimize pricing strategies and transportation routes.
