Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership for a growing acute care hospital in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and departmental performance while supporting the organization's mission of delivering exceptional patient care.

Position Details

• Title: Finance Director
• Location: Las Cruces, NM
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Salary Range: $115,000 – $125,000
• Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
• Travel: Up to 20% as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Previous leadership experience in finance, accounting, or healthcare operations.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with financial systems, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare finance experience within a hospital or healthcare system.
• Experience managing financial teams and departmental operations.
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, revenue cycle, and hospital financial reporting.
• Master's Degree, CPA, CMA, or other advanced financial credentials preferred.

The Finance Director serves as a key member of the hospital leadership team and is responsible for directing financial operations, maintaining fiscal integrity, and supporting strategic organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare finance experience, leadership skills, and the ability to drive financial performance in a complex healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of the organization's financial operations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor departmental goals, budgets, and financial plans.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and financial reporting requirements.
• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives and organizational growth.
• Manage financial audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Lead and develop finance department staff while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Support decision-making through financial analysis and operational insights.
