HR Assistant - Part Time

Albuquerque Publishing Company and the Albuquerque Journal are seeking a highly organized, service-oriented part-time Human Resources Assistant to help create an outstanding employee experience from day one. Responsibilities

No two days are the same! You'll play an important role in supporting our employees and HR Manager by:

Welcoming new employees through the hiring and onboarding process
Maintaining employee records and HR systems with accuracy and confidentiality
Assisting with benefits administration and annual Open Enrollment
Supporting employee relations, leave administration, and HR compliance
Responding to employee questions and providing exceptional customer service
Assisting in the coordination of employee recognition, celebrations, and engagement activities
Assisting with special projects that improve the employee experience across the organization

You'll be a trusted resource for employees while helping ensure our HR operations run smoothly behind the scenes.

Requirements

Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
One to three years of administrative or human resources experience preferred
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities
Friendly, approachable, and committed to excellent customer service
A strong communicator who enjoys working with people
Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion
Knowledge of HR practices and compliance
Experienced with G Suite and comfortable learning new technology (Paylocity or other HRIS experience is a plus)
