Ikigai is a Japanese fine dining restaurant located in Fort Greene, near Barclays Center and BAM. In a beautiful and large newly constructed space, we will be seating 12 people (and 144 covers per week) our Kaiseki menu with Michelin-level execution.
The restaurant is looking to hire a line cook to join the team. All of the staff, line cooks included, will participate in all aspects of service, including serving customers and running plates.
Requirements:
Available for full-time work.
Experience with Japanese cuisine
Responsibilities:
Preps for food service (chopping, butchering, etc.)
Cooks menu items with staffs
Restocks ingredients as appropriate
Picks up food products and delivers the meals to the guests
Assists kitchen and staff as need to maintain the highest level of food quality
Set up the front lines with equipment, plateware, and smallwares as needed
Participates in closing duties and kitchen cleanliness
