Under the supervisor of Program Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects that support organizational goals and operational priorities. This role leads cross-functional project teams, manages project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder communications, and ensures successful project execution from initiation through completion. The Project Manager works collaboratively with business leaders, subject matter experts, vendors, and stakeholders across the organization to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational objectives. Success in this role requires strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

Here is how the Project Manager will help:

• Lead projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, work plans, budgets, risk registers and status reports.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success measures.
• Coordinate resources and activities across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective action as necessary to address schedule, budget, or scope challenges.
• Build strong working relationships with project sponsors, business leaders, team members, and external partners.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and status updates.
• Communicate project progress, risks, issues, and decisions to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate resolution of competing priorities.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
• Escalate significant issues and barriers as appropriate.
• Develop contingency plans to address project challenges and maintain project momentum.
• Track and manage project dependencies and resource constraints.
• Ensure compliance with established project management methods, standards, and governance requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Prepare project dashboards, reports, and presentations for leadership review.
• Monitor project performance metrics and recommend process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve project management practices and organizational effectiveness.
• Participate in lessons learned activities and incorporate best practices into future projects.
• Support organizational change management and adoption efforts associated with project implementations.

Qualifications

Requirements to apply for the role of Project Manager are:

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Three (3) to seven (7) years of project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrated success managing projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Experience developing project schedules, budgets, and status reports.
• Experience in transportation, aviation, infrastructure, or similar complex organization preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred or obtained within 24 months of start.
• CAPM, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or related certifications are desirable.

Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a moderate or quiet noise level in the office work environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, outdoor weather conditions, fuels, chemicals, heavy equipment, and very loud noise level when working in outside locations. May work near moving mechanical parts, aircraft, and vehicles. Subject to remain on duty beyond normal hours or be recalled to duty up to 24 hours per day, seven days a week during emergency situations or other extensive periods.

Drug Testing

Employment is contingent upon the results of a post-offer (initial employment or promotion) drug screening. Continued employment may be subject to drug and alcohol testing conducted without advance notice and without individualized suspicion.

Pre-Employment Investigation

Must pass a thorough investigation, consisting of a criminal history check (including but not limited to the requirements of CFR 1542.209 and 1542.3), verification of prior employment and performance, reference and credentials checks.
