Health System Specialist

To support the development and enhancement of federal health information environments, the full-time remote Senior Health Systems Specialist will provide expert advisory and analytical support, focusing on VA databases and informatics ecosystems while applying advanced project management and change management methodologies. Key Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert on VA databases and their interrelationships within the VA informatics environment Apply project management tools to plan, monitor, and report on program activities and deliverables Analyze existing and proposed VA informatics systems to identify gaps and opportunities for enhancement Required Qualifications Master's Degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Public Health, or a related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in health systems analysis or health informatics Expert knowledge of VA databases and their interrelationships within the VA informatics ecosystem Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (PMP-aligned) Advanced analytical skills to conduct complex systems analyses and provide actionable recommendations
