Job Title: MRI Technologist

Experience: Minimum years of experience required
License: Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for MRI Certification, to be achieved within 12 months of hire date.
Certifications: AHA BLS


Must-Have:
- Pediatric experience
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
- Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes
- Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations
- Good communication skills with patients, families, and staff


Description:
Under immediate to general supervision, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services.
The services aid medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and/or diseases.
Utilizes entry-level knowledge and skills to provide safe, high-quality, efficient patient-centric care and support services in various care settings.
Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians.
Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
Utilizes specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform a variety of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures.
Conducts post-procedure reviews to confirm completion, documentation accuracy, and consistency with established protocols.
Transfers images and data to the appropriate archival systems and prepares studies for reporting by physicians.
Performs operator-level quality control checks and maintenance per regulatory guidelines.
Participates in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain competencies and promote improvements in care and treatments.
