MRI Technologist - Edmond

Position Title: MRI Technologist – Edmond Department: Adult MRI Essential Responsibilities Utilize core knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide safe, high‑quality, efficient, and patient‑centered care under routine or emergent conditions. Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician‑ordered exams to support appropriate imaging. Safely administer contrast per protocol. Recognize basic imaging artifacts and implement corrective measures independently or under guidance. Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and the care team to support desired clinical outcomes and service standards. Transfer images and associated data to designated systems, complete basic technical documentation, and prepare studies for physician reporting. Carry out operator‑level quality control checks, cleaning, high‑level disinfection, and basic equipment maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulatory requirements. Accurately document in EMR/PACS. Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research initiatives to maintain competencies and advance quality of care. Support inventory tasks as needed to ensure supplies are available. Perform other duties as assigned. Cardiac MRI Responsibilities (if trained and verified) Acquire standard cardiac imaging sequences including LV function imaging, short‑axis cine stacks, and basic morphology and functional assessments. Apply ECG gating techniques including retrospective gating, prospective gating, and real‑time imaging as indicated. Troubleshoot basic ECG signal issues. Recognize common rhythm patterns. Minimum Qualifications (Level 1) Education: Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology, or nuclear medicine program defined by ARRT or ARMRIT, or Completion of a JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program. Experience: 0–3 years. License/Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by AHA; ARRT(RT) or ARMRIT certification required within 12 months of hire. Minimum Qualifications (Level 2) Education: Associate’s Degree required. Experience: 3–5 years of MRI experience. License/Certification: Current BLS issued by AHA; ARRT (RT)(MR) or ARMRIT certification required upon hire. Minimum Qualifications (Level 3) Education: Associate’s Degree required. Experience: 5 or more years of MRI experience. License/Certification: Current BLS issued by AHA; ARRT (RT)(MR) or ARMRIT certification required upon hire. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Foundational knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, basic radiologic technology concepts, and MRI‑related terminology. Apply core MRI theory, practices, and techniques to perform examinations and complete basic post‑processing, analysis, and documentation with general supervision or assistance. Work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others. Prioritize and complete assigned clinical and non‑clinical work tasks with guidance, progressively developing independence. Manage multiple tasks and remain composed in stressful situations with guidance and support. Demonstrate consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled. Maintain sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs. Maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes. Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and HIPAA guidelines. Cardiac MRI Knowledge and Skills (if trained) Proficiency in breath hold coaching and patient positioning.
