CT Technologist - PRN - Edmond

Overview Position Title: CT Technologist - PRN - Edmond Department: Adult CT Scan Responsibilities Independently performs routine and complex CT examinations, applying established protocols while adapting techniques based on patient condition and diagnostic requirements. Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician-ordered exams to support appropriate imaging. Safely administers contrast per protocol. Recognizes basic imaging artifacts and implements corrective measures independently or under guidance. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the care team to support desired clinical outcomes and service standards. Transfers images and associated data to designated systems, completes basic technical documentation, and prepares studies for physician reporting. Performs operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and basic equipment maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulatory requirements. Accurately documents in EMR/PACS. Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research initiatives to maintain competencies and advance quality of care. Supports inventory tasks as needed to help ensure supplies are available. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT, or completion of a JRCERT-accredited Military Educational Program accepted in lieu of other educational requirements. Experience: At least 1 year of CT experience required. Licenses/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required upon hire. ARRT(RT)(CT) certification is required upon hire. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Solid knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, CT imaging principles, and radiologic terminology. Ability to independently perform CT exams, complete post-processing and image analysis, and accurately annotate study data and procedure documentation with minimal guidance. Ability to prioritize and independently complete clinical and non-clinical work assignments with limited direction. Effective verbal and written communication to convey accurate, timely information and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members. Ability to manage workload, competing priorities, and changing demands; able to multitask and remain calm in fast-paced environments. Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and HIPAA guidelines and standards. Ability to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others; dependable and punctual. Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs; ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
