Expanded Duties Dental Assistant – EDDA – Dental Assistant Coastal Cosmetic Dental Associates is looking for an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to join our team. Must have certification or previous dental experience. Responsibilities Organize and maintain lab equipment. Take and develop X-rays. Provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures. Take and record medical and dental histories and patient vitals. Assist the dentist with managing dental emergencies. Maintain clinical supplies and work efficiently to support dentist’s schedule. Adhere to OSHA and company safety policies. Support patient comfort, soothe upset patients, listen to their needs, and educate them on procedures. Improve clinical skills through continuing education and training opportunities offered by Heartland Dental. Requirements Positive and outgoing personality, excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills. Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Ability to build rapport with patients. Good manual dexterity. Computer proficiency and ability to learn new programs. Ability to travel at least once every other month for training, occasionally overnight. Dental assisting school certificate is a plus. Previous work experience in a dental practice is a plus.
