Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse opportunity in a leading healthcare organization located in the Chicago metropolitan area. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients in a dynamic environment across multiple units, including NICU, PICU, and Pediatric floors. The position requires adaptability to travel between campuses and to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details:

• Location: 1675 DEMPSTER STREET, PARK RIDGE, IL, 60068
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois Nursing License, BLS, PALS, NRP, minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing trach, vents, chest tubes, surgical drains, and working with high-acuity pediatric patients
• Patient Types / Common Diagnoses: Respiratory issues, congenital heart disease, hematology/oncology conditions, post-operative care, trauma; Neonates, neuro, GI, feeders/growers, and general pediatrics
• Patient Ratios: NICU 1:2, PICU 1:2, General Pediatrics 1:3-4, ER 1:3-4, Cardiac ICU 1:2
• Support within the Department: CNA support for patient care and room preparation, reception staff, charge nurse, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, resource nurse, RT, hospitalist, intensivist, telemetry monitoring when needed
• Technology and Equipment: EPIC Electronic Medical Record system, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, patient monitors, and unit-specific pediatric supplies
• Orientation: Two days departmental orientation in PICU/PCICU
• Floats: Support may be required across both campuses (Oak Lawn & Park Ridge) in NICU, PICU, and general pediatric units
• Additional Notes: Scrub color Navy, free parking, collaborative team-oriented unit culture
• Other Conditions: Weekend rotation every other week, 75% holiday work expectation, approval for RTO through manager
