Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse position is available in the healthcare organization in PARK RIDGE, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients within a busy Level IV Perinatal Center with a 61-bed NICU, supporting premature, neuro, and gastrointestinal patients. The position offers a dynamic environment emphasizing teamwork and clinical excellence.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications: Illinois Nursing License, BLS, PALS, NRP, 2+ years of experience in NICU or neonatal care, current certifications, and Illinois licensure
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NICU patient care including ventilators, chest tubes, and advanced respiratory support; familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records; prior experience working in a Level IV Perinatal Center
• Float: Float rotation may be required to Bi Campus Oak Lawn & Park Ridge for NICU, PICU, and General Pediatrics units
• Additional Information: The NICU staff provides care for premature, neuro, GI, and feeder/grower patients. The unit emphasizes teamwork, friendly culture, and high-quality patient care. Orientation includes a 2-day departmental in NICU/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The unit operates on every other weekend rotation, with holiday work expected approximately 75% of the time.
• Support within the Department: CNA, receptionists/hospital unit clerks, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapists (RT), hospitalists, intensivists, telemetry monitoring technology, and unit-specific equipment are available to support clinical activities.
