Position: Accounting Associate
Pay Rate: $22.00–$24.00/hourly
Location: Turlock, CA

Schedule:  Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable  Accounting Associate to support daily accounting and administrative operations. This position is responsible for entering and reviewing financial information, processing accounting transactions, reconciling records, maintaining documentation, and preparing reports. The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, a working knowledge of basic accounting principles, and exceptional attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Use accounting and production software, databases, and spreadsheets to accurately enter, maintain, and review financial information.
• Post standard accounting entries, including properly assigning debits, credits, costs, and income to appropriate accounts.
• Review figures, postings, and reports for accuracy and identify or reconcile discrepancies.
• Verify, sort, process, and review claims, bills, invoices, and vouchers.
• Respond professionally and promptly to requests from vendors, clients, and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting files and supporting documentation.
• Generate, prepare, and distribute accounting and operational reports.
• Assist with preparing summaries, charts, spreadsheets, and graphs as requested.
• Perform general administrative duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, filing, and data entry.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial, company, and employee information.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer systems.
• Experience with  SAP is a plus.
• Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and consistently complete day-to-day responsibilities.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and assist with resolving accounting-related issues.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Must be able to  read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or related administrative experience preferred.
