Shipping And Receiving PositionThe essential function of this position will entail general shipping and receiving work including duties such as: computer data entry, electronic emailing, filing and copying.To perform the job successfully, the incumbent's behavior must be consistent with the PRIDE values expected of all Mastronardi Produce employees: be Passionate; have Respect; be Innovative; be Driven and strive for Excellence.Primary responsibilities include:Comparing all incoming shipments waybill information to database for accuracy before receivingDelivering items to requisitioning departmentsMaintaining department database, preparing routine reports and filing shipping and receiving recordsCompleting reports during and at the end of your shiftNotifying manager or planning departments when major discrepancies occurPreparing Bill of Ladings: checking items shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities are correctEnsuring all relevant files are maintained and organized. Forwarding to appropriate departments for processingCommunicating with others to ensure shipping and receiving related problems are resolvedMaintaining confidentiality of all proprietary information, as well as other company data, including personnel informationEducation/background requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious shipping and receiving experience preferredSpecific knowledge, skills and abilities required:Forklift experienceExceptional attention to detailExcellent Microsoft office skillsStrong computer skills and math abilityStrong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication, interpersonal, and customer service skillsWorking conditions:Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages 70 degrees Fahrenheit and occasionally down to 55 degrees.
