Upholds the Standard of Practice of a registered technologist.QualificationsRequired Education:Vocational Training Preferred Education: N/ARequired Licensure/Certifications:Sonography certification from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)Or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red CrossEffective November 1, 2022, within one (1) year of hire or transfer one of the following vascular certifications is requiredRegistered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) ORRegistered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) ORVascular Sonography from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists PreferredLicensure/Certifications:Vascular certification at hire or transferRequired Experience: 1-2 years sonography experience, including vascular.Preferred Experience: More than two years performing general, vascular and OB/GYN sonography.Necessary Skills: Knowledge of modern diagnostic sonography procedures and practices. Communicate procedures to patients. Approach and manage stress/traumatic situations in a calm manner.
