Leander, TX | $1,500 Sign-On Bonus | Home Daily

AHI Supply is hiring an experienced Class A CDL Local Delivery Driver for our Leander, TX location. This is a local, home-daily driving position delivering construction materials throughout Leander and surrounding areas. Drivers operate a flatbed tractor-trailer and unload materials using a piggyback (truck-mounted) forklift. Occasional deliveries between our Leander and Buda locations may also be required. We are looking for an experienced, safety-minded driver who is dependable, comfortable working independently, and takes pride in taking care of customers and equipment.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, starting at 5:00 AM until work is completed. Overtime is available, and drivers must be available to work Saturdays when business needs require.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a Class A CDL flatbed tractor-trailer
• Make local deliveries to customer job sites
• Load, strap, secure, and tarp flatbed loads
• Unload construction materials using a piggyback forklift
• Verify loads and delivery tickets for accuracy before departure
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections, DVIRs, driver logs, and delivery documentation
• Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety requirements
• Maintain assigned truck, trailer, and forklift in safe and clean operating condition
• Communicate throughout the day with dispatch, warehouse personnel, supervisors, and customers
• Provide professional and dependable customer service at every delivery
• Assist with yard or warehouse activities when needed

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME) required at time of hire
• Previous piggyback/truck-mounted forklift experience required
• Must successfully pass a road test in a standard/manual-transmission truck
• Flatbed delivery experience preferred
• Knowledge of load securement and tarping procedures
• Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Strong safety record and commitment to safe driving
• Dependable attendance and work ethic
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of a hands-on delivery position

This Is a Hands-On Driving Position

This is not a drop-and-hook position. Drivers are responsible for securing loads and unloading materials at customer locations using a piggyback forklift. The position includes regular climbing, bending, lifting, reaching, working outdoors, and safely getting on and off trucks, trailers, and forklifts. The job description states the ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
