Our organization is looking for a skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Physician Associate/Assistant (PPA) to join our team in providing care for adults facing acute psychiatric challenges in our 40-bed inpatient unit. This role entails performing thorough psychiatric assessments, overseeing medication management, and delivering immediate psychiatric care. The ideal candidate will enjoy 24/7 physician support and be part of a workplace culture that prioritizes outstanding patient care alongside provider well-being. Experience in an inpatient psychiatric environment is highly desirable.

Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, weekdays

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Master's degree with advanced knowledge in nursing theory and practice, along with additional medical training.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience in a community mental health center or hospital setting.
• Proficient skills and knowledge in conducting psychiatric evaluations and patient treatment.
• A current and valid license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant issued by the Maine State Board of Licensure, with qualifications for psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
• Specific credentialing requirements as outlined by Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital work.
• Preferred: 2+ years of patient care experience in an inpatient medical hospital.
