Owner/Operator - Delivery Driver - 16' box trucks wanted!

Pace is seeking owner/operator/independent contractors with their own 16' box truck (liftgate needed) in Gulfport MS for dedicated lanes. You will be picking up from our warehouse in Mobile AL daily then heading back to Gulfport to make your deliveries. As a box truck delivery driver in Pace's Preferred Carrier Network, you will make deliveries on a multi-stop route in and around the Gulfport market. Most routes are approximately 150-300 miles round trip and operate Monday through Friday. A typical delivery will include loading/unloading freight, delivery scanning, app usage to update your delivery statuses in real time, and getting your paperwork signed. Having excellent customer service and maintaining a high degree of safety and professionalism is a must as most of the deliveries are taking place with staff present.


Key Responsibilities for Box Truck Drivers:

• Load freight from warehouse and deliver to designated stores
• Scanning in each carton is required at delivery.
• Operate a pallet jack to load/unload the freight.
• Use Pace delivery app to track and document all deliveries.
• Exceed customer delivery requirements and specifications.
• Represent Pace in a professional and courteous manner.
• Be presentable and provide excellent customer service to customers.

What does it take to drive with Pace?

• Have your own working 16' box truck with liftgate
• Meet insurance requirements - $1 million CGL, $1 million auto liability, $100,000 motor cargo
• Must meet MVR, background, and drug screening requirements.
• Drivers must be 21 or older.
• Must have active DOT number with the FMCSA
