Position Overview:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Project Manager is an essential part of the organization's overall operations strategy, combining direct clinical practice as a licensed and board-certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) with full project management responsibility for one or more CORE, LLC occupational health client sites. Working with minimal supervision under the direction of the Vice President of Staffing and/or designee(s), S/he is responsible for the daily assessment and medical treatment of patients within an occupational medicine framework and for the overall life cycle of each assigned project, including staffing, clinical oversight, client relations, and financial performance. The position may encompass field response responsibilities within a construction site setting.

Travel and Deployment Notice: This is a traveling position. The successful applicant must be able to deploy to project sites with little advance notice and may be required to remain on assignment away from their home location for extended periods of time, including for short-notice company-sponsored site visits, business meetings, project launches, demobilizations, and coverage needs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Clinical Practice:

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on OSHA standards and the provision and documentation of services related to routine, non-routine, and complex occupational health care of employees and others as determined by local site management, within the professional scope and standards of license.
• Act as patient care team lead by determining and communicating the case management of injury/illness, routine and non-routine travel preparation, and occupational evaluations such as Fitness for Work, Crane Physicals, etc.
• Follow company protocols and clinical care guidelines for patient care, including ALS protocols.
• Perform, analyze, and evaluate health screening data to identify possible workplace exposures as required by applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Make recommendations to management based on individual results.
• Document all findings and treatments in SOAP note format to be uploaded to CORE Connect / Enterprise Health and remain as part of the medical record.
• Maintain patient confidentiality by not releasing the patient's condition or interactions to anyone outside of approved personnel.
• Administer emergency medical care and support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local, and company policy and regulations.
• Notify the CORE leadership as directed of any work-related patient condition that may require offsite treatment or an escalation of treatment beyond first aid prior to escalation, except where delays in treatment could cause further harm to the patient.
• Effectively communicate with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action.
• Effectively communicate with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
• Respond to emergencies efficiently and promptly in the field when directed to do so by CORE management.
• Travel between clinics on the site as needed to provide patient care.
• Be available by phone while on duty and as directed for staff and client consultations.

Staffing:

• Finding, hiring, scheduling, training, disciplining, and setting and adjusting compensation of staff members.
• Works with payroll to ensure accurate timekeeping, approving time off requests, and resolution of payroll discrepancies.
• In conjunction with HR, implementation of and compliance with new corporate policies.
• Maintains site scheduled visits with auditing of medical records and completion of site audit forms.

Clinical Oversight:

• Works in conjunction with medical directors to provide direction for medical matters, substance abuse testing, and occupational testing.

Client Relations:

• Deal directly with the client to resolve issues, concerns, and to improve communication and efficiency across the project.
• Makes site visits to ensure CORE meets the needs of the client and fulfills contractual obligations. Completes site audit forms where required.

Financial:

• Works with the Vice President of Staffing and/or designee(s) to meet the financial goals of the project.

Labor:

• Flexibility to work in billable positions as needed or directed.

Travel:

• On short notice, flexibility to travel on company-sponsored site visits, business meetings, coverage, etc., with the potential for extended deployments away from home location/base.

Other Duties:

• As assigned.

Education:

• Master of Science Nursing (MSN) degree as a Nurse Practitioner required.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) program required.

Licensures/Certification:

Unrestricted/unencumbered Registered Nurse multistate compact license required.

Unrestricted/unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license, board certified in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care (AGPCNP or equivalent) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).

• Multistate practice required. Must hold or be willing and able to obtain licensure in multiple states as assigned by CORE. CORE will provide financial support for the cost of obtaining and maintaining required multistate NP licensure.
• Acute Care, Women's Health, Mental Health, and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners are ineligible and will not be considered for this position.

Ability to obtain DEA license as required.

Current AHA BLS certification.

Current AHA ACLS certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.

Current TWIC Card, or ability to obtain upon hire.

Current DOT specimen collector, or ability to obtain upon hire.

Certified BAT technician, or ability to obtain upon hire.

Current DOT Examiners certification, or ability to obtain upon hire as required.

Current NIOSH approved spirometry certification, or ability to obtain upon hire and as required.

Current COHC certification, or ability to obtain upon hire and as required.

A valid motor vehicle license and clean driving record.

This position is considered a safety sensitive position. A drug screen with breath alcohol test and, possibly, a Fit for Duty Exam will be required prior to employment.

Experience:

Previous experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner required. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner with preference for five (5) or more years.

• New graduate Nurse Practitioners are ineligible and will not be considered for this position.

Five (5) or more years of relevant occupational medicine, management, and/or project management experience strongly preferred.

Previous experience in working with Workers Compensation, DOT, and OSHA Regulated Exams preferred.
