Registered Nurse (RN)

An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a MedSurg/General Surgery unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to patient care.

Contract Details

Length: 13-week contract
Start Date: 2-3 weeks from acceptance of the offer
Shifts: 3x12 or 4x12, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (4x12 preferred)
Weekends: Every other weekend required
Holidays: Rotation required, preference given to candidates able to work holidays
Call: Participation in call rotation is required

Patient Care & Responsibilities

Staffing Ratios: Typically 1:6, occasionally 1:7
Flexibility to float within the scope of practice to meet the unit's needs

Qualifications

Required: Current SC or Multi-State/Compact RN License
Required: BLS Certification
Preferred: ACLS Certification
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a MedSurg or General Surgery environment preferred; first-time travelers are accepted, but experience is preferred

Additional Information

Facility Capacity: 396 staffed beds
Charting System: EPIC
Parking: Free parking available for employees
Hurricane Season: Travelers should be aware of possible assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
