As a Security Officer Screening - Overnight in Ladson SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location you will help monitor site access screen visitors and/or personnel and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors drivers and/or employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures access control practices and when appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals packages bags and/or personal belongings in accordance with post orders and site policies and report unusual activity prohibited items and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and communicating with site contacts supervisors and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify credentials and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas shipping zones and/or operational spaces.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter with attention to docks trailer areas parking locations and other assigned areas where security-related concerns may arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
