Veterinary Technician Assistant - Portland Vet Stroudwater

Join a new general practice in Portland, Portland Vet - Stroudwater, and build something new from day one. As our new GP clinic opens its doors, we’re seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to help deliver exceptional patient and client care in a collaborative and expanding environment.

Anticipated Schedule
This is a full-time position

• Monday through Thursday to start, no weekends or holidays ( potential for a weekend day with growth; flexibility is appreciated)
• Bonus potential for very experienced assistants

Compensation

• Pay range $23-29/hr, commensurate with experience and credentials

What You’ll Do

• Safely handle and restrain patients with minimal stress during exams and treatments
• Assist in diagnostics: lab sample collection, radiographs, record vitals, perform basic lab work
• Support the team during routine procedures including surgery and dentistry
• Maintain tidy, organized treatment rooms, exam rooms, and supply areas
• Help communicate with clients and provide supportive guidance throughout their visit

What We’re Looking For

• Veterinary assistant with at least 1–2 years of experience in small animal practice
• Proficient knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal handling, and basic medical workflows
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning software like ezyVet
