Sr Mortgage Accountant

LHH is actively recruiting for a Senior Mortgage Accountant to join the team of a growing mortgage leader in Metro Atlanta! Responsibilities Balance sheet account reconciliations Process improvement Manages P&L's for multiple branches with varying structures, margins, compensation, and expense models in a timely manner. Assists with month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes and meets all deadlines. Financial statement preparation and review - makes recommendations on areas of risk and opportunities where required. Prepares standard general ledger, accrual, and allocation journal entries. Assists with internal and external audit requests. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Technically savvy to include Excel proficiency, Loan Vision and working knowledge of Claude 4+ years of recent accounting experience. 3+ years of mortgage industry experience. Solid knowledge of accounting principles, including accruals, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss Statements. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
