Estimating Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead commercial estimating efforts for its growing drywall division in South Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing commercial construction organization with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects throughout Wisconsin. As the company continues to expand, leadership is investing in its preconstruction capabilities by adding an experienced Estimating Manager to support increasing project volume and position the organization for continued long-term success.

This newly created leadership opportunity will serve as the senior estimating professional for the commercial drywall division, providing oversight of the estimating process from initial bid review through project award. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing accurate and competitive estimates, refining estimating standards, supporting bidding strategies, and partnering with operations and project management to ensure projects are positioned for successful execution.

Commercial drywall estimating experience is strongly preferred; however, the organization is also interested in experienced commercial construction estimators who possess strong technical abilities, leadership potential, and a desire to continue growing professionally. Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating function for commercial drywall projects.

• Prepare complete and accurate estimates for commercial construction projects.

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates.

• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing.

• Develop competitive bid strategies while maintaining project profitability.

• Coordinate closely with operations, project management, and executive leadership during preconstruction.

• Participate in project turnover meetings following award.

• Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities.

• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and estimating standards.

• Assist in improving estimating processes and best practices.

• Support business development efforts by helping secure profitable projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience preferred (3–5 years considered for exceptional candidates).

• Commercial drywall estimating experience strongly preferred.

• Experience estimating commercial construction projects.

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and quantity takeoffs.

• Knowledge of commercial construction methods and materials.

• Experience working with estimating software and Microsoft Office.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and mathematical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement
