IF this sounds like the type of team and environment you want to be a part of apply today!** **Position Summary** Our Clinic Radiology Technologist works in a fast paced and high-volume orthopedic clinic. This person is responsible for friendly and positive interactions with our patients, while obtaining quality diagnostic x-rays in accordance with our physician's orders. Locations: Geneva, Elgin, & Yorkville, Illinois (must be willing to travel to multiple site locations)Status: Part-Time (20 Hours/Week)Days/Hours: Varying days, including evenings and rotating Saturdays.Pay Rate: $29.25 - $35.50/Hour (Minimum to Mid-Point, based on experience). Education: Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved radiologic technology school -required. License/Certification* ARRT (R) -required.* Illinois State Medical Radiographer license -required.* Basic Life Support (BLS) -required. Experience: 1+ year of experience in a clinic imaging department -preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities* Performs quality x-rays in an orthopedic clinic setting.* Responsible for quality control of images taken, and able to adjust positioning and technical parameters to get required anatomy for optimal results.* Assess patient's abilities to comply with the physical requirements of the exam, then effectively communicate with the patient to complete the exam in a timely manner.* Ability to effectively interact and communicate with patients, physicians, management and fellow team members in an efficient and professional manner.**Essential Job Functions*** Responsible for the accurate and safe operation using the principles of ALARA.* Responsible for obtaining quality, diagnostic images in accordance with individual physician protocols.* Positive and friendly interactions with patients and families of all age groups.* Participate in annual performance improvement education.* Attend and participate in department meetings.* Working in a fast-paced environment, in team and individual settings.* Responsible for all other duties as assigned Physical requirementsThis position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment TB and drug testing.
