Job Summary
We are seeking a Backend Developer to build scalable software and data platforms supporting engineering and technical teams. The role focuses on developing cloud applications, APIs, microservices, and enterprise software solutions.
Job Title: Back End Developer
Location: Houston, TX
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services.
- Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices.
- Develop scalable cloud-native applications.
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions.
- Own features throughout the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance.
- Implement secure coding practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Collaborate with Agile development teams.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Required Technical Skills
- Programming Languages: Java, C#, Python, TypeScript, and C++ (team dependent).
- Backend & Cloud: Node.js, .NET, Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Databases: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Relevant hands-on experience in backend software development, including designing and developing APIs, microservices, cloud-native applications, and enterprise software.
