Cardiac CT Technologist

Role: CT Technologist responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures at Acworth Health Park. Responsibilities Perform CT scans according to department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic accuracy and patient safety. Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, report issues promptly, and adhere to infection control protocols. Obtain clinical history, verify patient identity, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety using AIDET communication. Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout procedures. Administer contrast agents via venipuncture using sterile techniques, and position patients correctly. Review images for quality, repeat or correct images as needed, and document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS systems. Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with equipment and supply management. Coordinate workflow, support departmental operations, and ensure regulatory compliance. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum 1 year of radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS (American Heart Association). Skills and Attributes Technical proficiency in CT imaging, strong patient communication, attention to safety and detail, ability to work independently, and collaborative team orientation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
