Strategy Implementation Manager

Position Overview We are looking for a Strategy Manager to join our vibrant and growing Strategy team. The Strategy team works closely with senior leadership and stakeholders across BMC Health System to own and advance high-priority initiatives that transform our system for the better. Role Summary The Strategy Manager will play a visible role in leading change at BMC Health System. They will manage key strategic projects, engage and collaborate with clinical and operational leaders, conduct analyses that shape decisions, and implement changes to system operations. The portfolio spans strategic priorities such as advancing health equity, opening new lines of patient service, improving mental health and addiction treatment services, scaling programs that address social determinants of health, shaping strategy for value-based care and population health programs, driving health plan performance, integrating newly acquired hospitals, and ensuring financial sustainability. Examples of Recent Work Designing and executing a high-priority initiative to close inequities in maternal health outcomes by race. Standing up an integration process for two hospitals that BMC Health System is acquiring. Launching a systemwide community-based vaccine delivery program delivering 20K doses per week in vulnerable neighborhoods. Opening a novel housing and clinical services facility for people experiencing homelessness with co-occurring substance use disorders. Articulating our approach for care management and coordination services in the next phase of MassHealth’s ACO program. Producing a growth plan to expand high‑impact, high‑value clinical programs on campus. Interfacing with MassHealth leadership on system financing and delivery system reform. Supporting a performance driver for our Medicaid ACO model, such as quality. Organizing health plan, hospital, and ACO relationships with partners. Driving forward partnership discussions with other providers and payors. Optimizing inpatient operations to improve ER patient care. Leading partnership with Healthcare for the Homeless to better care for highly vulnerable populations. Core Duties Work under the direction of one or more Strategy Directors on 1–2 projects at a time. Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to drive forward project objectives and overcome barriers. Conduct analyses (Excel) and communicate insights (PowerPoint). Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree. Experience 1–3 years of strategy consulting experience required. Knowledge And Skills Confidence and adaptability to tackle complex and unstructured problems. Positive attitude and willingness to own all aspects of a project. Superb communication skills to distill complicated issues into clear recommendations. Expert quantitative analysis and critical reasoning skills to structure and carry out analyses. Strong interpersonal skills to navigate competing stakeholder interests. Ability to work independently and with matrixed teams. Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple projects to meet deadlines. Compensation and Benefits $71,500.00 – $104,000.00. This range is an estimate based on minimum job qualifications.
