This full-time onsite position supports a small classroom of third through fifth graders, providing hands-on assistance to both teachers and students. With just 10 students in the classroom, you’ll have the opportunity to build rapport and help shape meaningful learning experiences in an engaging and nurturing environment.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time hours, Monday through Friday, 8:15am – 3:15pm
• Support a classroom of 10 students, grades 3–5
• Collaborate closely with educators to foster inclusive, positive learning
• Onsite role located near Baltic, CT

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role, especially within elementary education
• Ability to assist with instructional activities as well as behavioral and social support
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Collaborative, flexible, and compassionate approach with children and colleagues
• Reliability and commitment to the full contract assignment

Responsibilities:

• Support lead teachers during classroom activities, reinforcing lesson content and individualized learning plans
• Assist students one-on-one and in small groups, adapting to diverse learning needs
• Help monitor classroom behavior, promoting a respectful and encouraging atmosphere
• Contribute to classroom organization, material preparation, and supervision of group and independent work
• Foster a nurturing, safe environment for optimal student development
