Presbyterian is hiring a skilled Register Nurse to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an outpatient urgent care clinic. Common responsibilities include preparing the patient for the visit, maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the provider with treatments and procedures, medication administration, and supporting clerical functions such as scheduling, referrals, authorization, and in‑basket support with the electronic medical records. Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care for nurse visits in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models. Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care for telephone triage in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models. Responsible for medication refill management as an agent of the provider using approved nursing protocols. Ensure safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient‑centered care of patients. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Associate’s degree in nursing and State of New Mexico or Compact State nursing license. BLS certification required at time of hire.
