Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on an engaging contract opportunity supporting students across multiple schools in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time opening for Occupational Therapists is based in the vibrant community near Schaumburg, Illinois, with responsibilities spanning elementary through high school levels. As an integral part of the special education department, you will work itinerantly across campuses, providing services to a diverse range of students from Pre-K through age 22.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Fingerprinting required prior to employment
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities
• Adaptability to work with varying school schedules and caseloads

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to the needs of students from early childhood through young adult transitions
• Assess and document students’ skills, progress, and response to interventions
• Travel between assigned elementary, middle, and high school sites as part of an itinerant assignment
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
• Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to optimize student success
• Maintain thorough and timely records in accordance with state and district guidelines

This contract runs from August 27, 2026, through June 9, 2027, with weekly hours ranging from 35 to 37.5, dependent on individual school schedules.
