General Job Description DealRoom is seeking a driven, customer-focused Scaled Account Manager who embodies our corporate values: Own It, Deliver the Wow, Be Kind & Direct. This individual will manage a large portfolio of customers, own renewals across their book of business, and help build the future of DealRoom's scaled customer engagement model. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving customer problems, and is excited by the opportunity to own meaningful business outcomes early in their career. They are highly organized, proactive, and able to balance customer relationships with commercial accountability. At DealRoom, Account Managers are more than relationship managers. They are trusted advisors, customer advocates, retention owners, and strategic partners responsible for helping customers realize value from our platform while driving long-term business growth. We're transforming complex financial processes with cutting-edge technology, and we're looking for passionate trailblazers to join our high-energy team. Why was DealRoom started? Founded in 2012 in Chicago by former M&A advisor Kison Patel, DealRoom addresses technological gaps hindering deal success in the financial industry. With a client-oriented culture, DealRoom has grown to 50+ employees, remains self-funded, and is expanding rapidly. Core Responsibilities Own the renewal process for a portfolio of customers, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to maximize retention. Build strong customer relationships and serve as a trusted partner throughout the customer lifecycle. Conduct customer check-ins, business reviews, and value-driven conversations that increase adoption and customer satisfaction. Identify expansion opportunities and collaborate with Customer Success leadership to drive growth. Manage a high-volume portfolio through a combination of personalized outreach and scalable customer engagement programs. Maintain accurate renewal forecasts, account data, and customer insights within Salesforce and other internal systems. Develop expertise in DealRoom's platform, M&A workflows, and customer best practices. Partner closely with Product, Solutions Delivery, and Revenue teams to advocate for customer needs and improve outcomes. Contribute to the development of scalable playbooks, customer communications, automation initiatives, and operational improvements. Who you are Required Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in a customer-facing role such as Customer Success, Account Management, Sales, Consulting, Customer Support, or Business Development. Highly organized with the ability to manage high volumes of work and multiple competing priorities. Comfortable owning business outcomes and being accountable for performance metrics. Excellent communicator who can build trust and credibility with customers. Naturally curious with a desire to become an expert in new products, industries, and business challenges. Proactive, resourceful, and willing to figure things out independently. Enjoys improving processes and finding scalable solutions to recurring challenges. Thrives in collaborative environments and values teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in SaaS. Exposure to customer renewals, retention, or account management. Experience supporting business, finance, consulting, or project management professionals. Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms. Interest in M&A, Corporate Development, Private Equity, or Financial Technology.
