# Worship DirectorNew Salem Baptist Church•Kennesaw, GA•Part-timeLead our church to worship every Sunday by working with a team of musicians and vocalists.Email---The Music Director leads the musical aspect of our weekly worship services. This person will be a gifted musician, servant leader, and team builder. The Music Director serves under the direct supervision of the Lead Pastor and works in partnership with the Personnel Committee, music team, and A/V team.What You'll Do• Plan and lead the music in our weekly worship services in a way that feels cohesive with our beliefs and congregation so that it encourages participation not performance.• Recruit, schedule, and develop volunteer musicians and vocalists. Bring unity to the team around our church’s mission and music ministry’s distinctive culture. Lead the music team to sing and play together, giving direction and feedback where needed.• Work with our A/V team to execute sound, lighting, and presentation. Coordinate closely with volunteers who work in these areas.• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor on service flow, sermon themes, and seasonal services (Christmas, Easter, etc.).• Manage the worship budget, including music licensing (CCLI) and equipment needs.• Provide personal care to your team because ministry runs on the tracks of relationships.What We're Looking For• Demonstrated musical ability (vocal and instrumental) and the ability to bring musical unity to a team, helping vocalists sing together and musicians play together.• Experience leading a worship team, not just performing.• Comfortable leading diverse styles and song choices from hymns to contemporary worship.• Basic understanding of live sound and presentation tech.• A teachable, humble spirit and strong personal faith.• Ability to work independently in a small staff environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
