Role Description The Forensic Accounting Senior Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in South Jordan, UT. This role involves analyzing financial statements and large/complex financial data sets, reconstructing accounting records, drafting reports, and managing staff to support litigation and investigative matters. The Senior Associate will assist in identifying irregularities, tracing funds, and preparing schedules and exhibits for expert reports and court proceedings. Daily responsibilities include working in Excel to test and validate data; performing detailed analytical procedures; and documenting findings in clear, well-supported workpapers. The role also requires collaboration with team members and clients, participation in meetings and interviews, and support in drafting presentations and reports for legal and business stakeholders. Qualifications 3+ years experience in forensic accounting, audit, business valuation or litigation support. Strong financial reporting knowledge, including the ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and related disclosures. Proficient in understanding of financial accounting, including ability to read and understand financial statement and general ledgers, and how they interact. Demonstrated analytical skills with a solid foundation in finance, including quantitative analysis, data validation, and financial modeling. Advanced proficiency in Excel is required, and experience in Access is a plus. Experience working with accounting software (such as QuickBooks) and related tools for data extraction, testing, and analysis. Experience with methodical use of AI tools. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CFE, or progress toward certification is preferred. Ability to communicate complex financial issues clearly in written reports and verbal discussions.
