Led by Dr. Jon McCormick, a veterinarian with nearly three decades of experience, our Saratoga Springs team is growing quickly, and we’re looking for an Associate Veterinarian who wants to build with us. This is a unique opportunity to join a hybrid General Practice + Urgent Care hospital where no two days look exactly the same. We care for traditional GP appointments while also helping bridge the gap between primary care and the emergency room; giving pet families access to timely, thoughtful care when they need it most. A Role That Can Fit You We’re open to meeting veterinarians at all stages of their careers. Maybe you’re a new graduate looking for meaningful mentorship and a place where you can steadily build confidence and clinical skills. Or maybe you’re an experienced veterinarian who loves appointments, client relationships and medicine but would prefer to scale back on surgery. Perhaps you enjoy urgent care and want to spend most of your time seeing same-day and walk-in cases. There’s room for all of that here. The ideal candidate is comfortable getting involved, enjoys variety, and understands the energy and commitment that comes with helping build something from the ground up. We’re looking for a teammate who is willing to contribute, collaborate and grow alongside the hospital. Surgery and dentistry experience is preferred, and we’d love someone who is comfortable helping with weekend urgent care hours. But most importantly, we want someone who is excited about the opportunity, not someone who feels like they must fit into a predetermined box. The Hospital CityVet Saratoga Springs was designed to support both scheduled veterinary care and urgent care, with: 4 exam rooms A large treatment area with room to grow Abaxis and Zoetis in-house diagnostics Handheld digital dental radiography Ultrasound Therapeutic cold laser 30-minute appointments Same-day appointments and walk-in care What Makes Saratoga Springs Different? Dr. Jon McCormick. As the hospital’s Partner and Lead Veterinarian, Dr. McCormick brings extensive experience and a genuinely unique clinical perspective. In addition to traditional veterinary medicine, he has a passion for acupuncture, chiropractic care, laser therapy and integrative medicine . He is also developing a relationship with a local mobile surgeon to expand access to orthopedic procedures for the community. You’ll join a tight-knit team that is already developing a strong culture, one where people help each other, have fun together and are genuinely invested in figuring out how to make the hospital better. The team is constantly looking at workflows, asking what could work better and finding ways to optimize as the practice grows. Licensed to practice in this state or eligible for licensure. A collaborative spirit and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Interest in General Practice and/or Urgent Care medicine.
