This full-time, contract position focuses on a self-contained classroom, supporting students with Developmental Disabilities and Autism (DD/AU). Key Qualifications:

• Valid Multi-Categorical Special Education Certification required
• Prior teaching experience in primary grades strongly preferred
• Classroom expertise with students with developmental disabilities and/or autism
• Proven ability to implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues
• Flexibility, compassion, and a growth-oriented mindset

Primary Responsibilities:

• Instruct a self-contained classroom, differentiating instruction to address a spectrum of learning and behavioral needs
• Develop, review, and carry out IEPs in compliance with current standards
• Create a structured, supportive environment that nurtures academic, social, and emotional growth
• Track student goals, document progress, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Foster positive relationships with families through regular updates and meetings
• Coordinate with support staff and specialists to optimize each child’s learning experience
• Engage in professional development and school-wide initiatives
