About Us

Richter Tree Farm, Nursery and Landscaping is an established, family-owned landscaping company specializing in landscape installation for residential and commercial properties, with a strong focus on new-home construction and production builders.

We are looking for an experienced  Landscape Installation Production Manager to lead our field operations, manage crews and foremen, and ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to our quality standards.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands landscape installation, knows how to organize people and resources, and takes ownership of results. The right candidate will be comfortable managing multiple crews and projects while developing employees, improving productivity, and holding the team accountable.

What You'll Do

Production & Operations

• Oversee daily landscape installation operations across multiple jobsites and crews.
• Plan and coordinate weekly production schedules, crew assignments, and project priorities.
• Ensure crews have the labor, materials, equipment, and information needed to complete jobs efficiently.
• Monitor production rates, labor hours, and job costs to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Identify scheduling conflicts, jobsite challenges, and production issues before they become bigger problems.
• Coordinate plant deliveries, material procurement, equipment allocation, and other logistical needs.
• Work with management to improve processes, increase productivity, and maximize profitability.

Crew Leadership & Accountability

• Lead, coach, and develop landscape installation foremen and crew members.
• Set clear expectations for productivity, workmanship, safety, and professionalism.
• Hold foremen accountable for crew performance, labor efficiency, and completed work.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress and address issues in the field.
• Help build a strong team culture focused on responsibility, communication, and continuous improvement.
• Step in to resolve field problems and provide direction when crews need support.

Quality Control & Customer Satisfaction

• Ensure landscape installations meet company standards, project specifications, and customer expectations.
• Review landscape plans, planting layouts, material requirements, and site conditions.
• Verify proper plant placement, installation techniques, grading, and overall finished appearance.
• Coordinate with builders, project managers, suppliers, and other trades as needed.
• Address installation deficiencies and ensure corrective work is completed promptly.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and builder partners.

Planning & Communication

• Review upcoming projects and prepare for labor, material, and equipment needs.
• Communicate production progress, delays, staffing needs, and jobsite issues to company leadership.
• Assist with estimating, labor budgeting, production planning, and job-cost reviews.
• Track project completion and ensure crews are moving efficiently from one job to the next.
• Help establish and implement systems that improve consistency, accountability, and overall operational performance.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in landscape installation , 
• 3+ years of experience  leading crews whether as foreman, or production management role.
• Strong understanding of landscape installation, including plant installation, trees and shrubs, planting layouts, soil preparation, mulch, grading, and related installation practices.
• Experience leading multiple crews or managing several jobsites simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to manage labor productivity, scheduling, and job costs.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to hold employees accountable while earning their respect.
• Highly organized with strong planning, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and installation specifications.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, particularly with residential construction schedules.
• Ability to make sound decisions independently and resolve problems in the field.
• Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel between jobsites.
• Willingness to work approximately 50–55 hours per week, with additional hours during busy periods as needed.

Hardscape construction experience is not required. We are specifically looking for someone with a strong background in landscape installation and the ability to manage field production.
