Elica's Dental program includes comprehensive dental services, dental residency program, mobile dental program, and school-based dental program. We employ the latest technology to efficiently and effectively serve our Dental patients. Our state of the art Dental facilities are equipped with panoramic x-rays and digital intraoral scanners to take impressions and engage patients in their oral health care. Our dentists and residents are certified in the use of the 9.3 micron CO2 hard and soft tissue laser, which allows us to perform fillings without the need for local anesthesia. This laser also allows us to provide additional services to our patients such as gingivectomies and crown lengthening without needing to refer to specialists. Our electronic health records system is integrated with our Medical and Integrated Behavioral Health departments to allow us to work together to improve the overall health of our community.

What You'll Do: The Dental Receptionist will answer phone calls, greet patients, schedule appointments, maintain office appearance, and perform various clerical. The Dental Receptionist will coordinate and organize appointments and administration to facilitate the efficient running of the dental office.

Compensation: $25.00 to $30.25 an hour - Dependent Upon Experience

Requirements

What Are We Looking For? The successful candidate has:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in dental setting preferred
• Experience with EPIC Wisdom or dental scheduler preferred
• Knowledge of government (Medi-Cal) and non-government payers for dental insurances and dental terminology
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace software
• Ability to communicate in a respectful and professional manner with all staff
• Maintain a positive environment that is focused on patient care
• Ability to work in a fast past environment and meet daily production targets

Additional Requirements

• Must have a current and valid California driver's license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment The work environment is characteristic of a medical/dental clinic environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or feel. The employee is also required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
