Sr. Rev Cycle Application Analyst - Epic HB Filing Deadline: Fri 6/5/2026 Pay Scale: $125,000 – $182,000 per year. Location: Towne Centre Drive, San Diego, CA. Appointment Type: Career | Appointment Percent: 100% | Union: HX Contract. UC San Diego Health's Revenue Cycle department supports the organization’s mission to deliver outstanding patient care. This role serves as a technical leader in Epic Research and Hospital Billing, responsible for design, build, test, and implementation of Epic Revenue Cycle application systems, as well as project management, customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This position will report to the Hospital Billing Supervisor and will work a hybrid schedule, combining onsite work at Towne Centre Drive with remote work. It collaborates daily with Revenue Cycle operations (Patient Access, Revenue Integrity, Professional Billing, Coding, Continuous Improvement, Trainers, Finance, Cashiers, Hospital Billing, Provider Enrollment, Provider Education, Clinical Research Billing, and Single Business Office), third‑party vendors, and other application teams. Responsibilities Design, build, test, and implement Epic Revenue Cycle application systems. Provide project management, customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Collaborate with Revenue Cycle operations and vendor partners on a daily basis. Minimum Qualifications Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR Bachelor’s Degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training (Epic build experience in Research and Hospital Billing). Broad in‑depth knowledge of 1–2 clinical application specialty areas, including planning, design, development, implementation, user support, training, maintenance, QA, and system testing. Advanced problem‑resolution skills for complex issues, with rapid diagnosis and effective solutions. Advanced interpersonal communication to train, support, and collaborate with clinical users and stakeholders at all levels. Advanced organizational and project management skills, including team leadership, task prioritization, and delivery on schedule. Advanced written and verbal communication for clear technical instructions to all user levels. Advanced analytical skills for documentation, reporting, metrics, testing systems, performance data analysis, and management reporting. Advanced technical leadership and information resource, providing guidance and recommendations on systems, upgrades, and industry trends. Preferred Qualifications Epic Research Billing Certification. Epic HB Administration Certification. Epic PB Administration Certification. Epic Claims/Remittance Certification. Epic Charge Router Certification. Project Management Experience.
