Accounting Specialist

Accounting Specialist Location: Bridgeport, CT Work Arrangement: Onsite Employment Type: Full-Time Pay: $26-29/hour Our client, a well-established company in the Bridgeport area, is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team. This role will support the day-to-day accounting functions of the business, with a strong focus on QuickBooks Online, Excel, reconciliations, and general accounting support . The company is open to considering candidates at different experience levels, from someone earlier in their accounting career with a solid foundation to a more experienced accounting professional who can step in and work independently. Responsibilities Support day-to-day accounting activities using QuickBooks Online Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions Perform bank and account reconciliations and research discrepancies Prepare and post journal entries Maintain accurate financial records using double-entry accounting principles Utilize Excel for reconciliations, schedules, reporting, and financial tracking Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation Assist with additional accounting and administrative needs as they arise Qualifications Strong QuickBooks Online experience required Solid understanding of journal entries, debits, credits, and double-entry accounting Experience with AP/AR and account reconciliations Strong Excel skills , including VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, PivotTables, formulas, and spreadsheet management Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day accounting responsibilities Preferred Qualifications Experience within construction, electrical, contracting, or a similar industry Payroll experience SharePoint or other cloud-based software experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Creative Financial Staffing, LLC
