Major Duties of the Position: Provide quality cardiology services in our progressive, innovative health care system for the veteran outpatient population. Deliver patient-centered diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular care in an outpatient setting. Develop and implement individualized care plans to address the specific cardiovascular needs of patients. Interpret and perform non-invasive tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter monitoring. Collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, including cases that may require interventional or surgical treatments. Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to educational development programs affiliated with the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and research, and be eligible for a faculty appointment in the Department of Medicine at the University of New Mexico. Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care for outpatient cardiology patients. VA Offers a Comprehensive Total Rewards Package: VHA Physician Total Rewards.
