Company Description Saige is an early-stage consumer health technology platform building the trusted infrastructure for product safety. We translate complex scientific research into clear, personalized guidance to help people make safer everyday product choices. Saige’s founder started Saige after she was diagnosed with lung cancer at 25, despite being a healthy non-smoker. Through her oncology team, she learned about the link between environmental toxins and rising cancer rates. After experiencing firsthand how underserved consumers are by existing tools, and how much misinformation has inundated the wellness market, she teamed up with leading scientists to build Saige. As an early-stage team member, you will contribute directly to the technical and product foundations of this mission‑driven company. Role Description Saige is looking for a software engineer excited to work on meaningful problems at the intersection of science, data, and consumer health. As one of the earliest members of our team, you will play a central role in shaping Saige’s product, technical architecture, and engineering culture. You will work directly with the founder and scientific team to design and build the systems that power Saige's platform, from backend data pipelines to user-facing components. This is a full‑time, on‑site Founding Engineer role based in New York City. Team Description Saige's founder, Maggie, holds a neuroscience degree from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She works alongside a Harvard software engineer and a Harvard molecular epidemiologist. Together, we are building a scientifically rigorous platform that helps consumers make safer product decisions.
