Team members join a mission‑driven organization dedicated to improving the health of the communities it serves. Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Hygienist role based in Luling, LA. The Hygienist will provide comprehensive preventive dental care, including cleanings, oral health assessments, and patient education on hygiene practices. Daily responsibilities include documenting patient histories, taking and reviewing dental radiographs as permitted, and assisting with treatment planning in collaboration with dentists and other oral health professionals. The role also includes applying sealants and fluoride treatments, supporting infection control protocols, and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. The Hygienist will work as part of an integrated care team to promote oral health, support outreach and preventive initiatives, and ensure a positive, respectful patient experience. Qualifications Strong preventive care skills, including Hygiene and Dental Care, with the ability to provide thorough cleanings and patient education. Foundational knowledge and experience in Dentistry, including collaboration with dentists on treatment planning and care delivery. Demonstrated proficiency in Infection Control, including sterilization, instrument handling, and adherence to OSHA and clinic protocols. Experience applying Sealants and other preventive treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines and patient needs. Active state licensure as a Dental Hygienist in Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date). Current CPR/BLS certification and familiarity with electronic health or dental records systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with patients of diverse backgrounds and ages.
